OFFICIAL RULES
TUV Productions will accept Color or Black & White electronic images via email only. Winning entries will be exhibited at the Jewish Life. All entrants asign publication rights to TUV Productions. TUV Productions reserves the right to use any entry as it sees fit within any publication of Jewish Life.
All entries must be of Jewish or Israeli themes and reflect cultural, historical, religious, political, economic, Jewish society or Jewish social aspects of Jewish Life in Israel or Diaspora. Entries must be submitted for the first time to a contest.

Winners will be selected on the basis of talent, originality, style, technical excellence and creativity. The decision of the judge is final. Valid model releases must accompany all the entries where subject'(s)' faces or property is identifiable and are not displayed in public to be seen and photographed without permits and/or model realeses. By submitting your entries you testify that you will not hold TUV Productions liable and/or responsible for any disputes that might arise over the ownership, content and/or permission to reproduce and/or publish your photographic entries and you waive all the rights to hold TUV Productions liable. By submitting your entries you testify that you will not hold TUV Productions liable and/or responsible for any disputes that might arise over the permission to photograph these subjects by you and you waive all the rights to hold TUV Productions liable. By submitting your entry, you confirm that it has not been previously published, and has no copyright restrictions or privacy restraints. Employees of TUV Productions and its affiliates, and members of their immediate families and households are not eligible.We are not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, damaged, illegible, incomplete or garbled e-mail transmissions. Receipt of entries will not be acknowledged, nor can correspondence or emails be answered.

Entrant Criteria is open to any photographer, professional or amateur, from
any part of the world. TUV Productions reserves the right to disqualify entries that violate any American or other relevant national law or standard, and entries considered to be
indecent. Photographs that have been published, as well as those that have won
awards in other contests and in its judging procedure may not be submitted to TUV Productions (photographs submitted to other contests that didn’t win awards will be
accepted).TUV Productions cordially invites you toparticipate in the TUV Productions'
Israel & Jewish Life Photo Contest International (TUV Productions) 2006. Photography lovers from around the world have been competing with each other for prizes and bragging rights since the contest first took place in 2000. For TUV Productions 2006, we’ve selected "Israel & Jewish Life" as the themes for categories listed here. It is a joint theme made by TUV Productions in cooperation with the Jewish Singles Video Connection.
We encourage you to submit your best photos to TUV Productions in 2006 and demonstrate your photographic flair to the whole world. Please make submissions according to the entry rules. However, the same photo may not be submitted in several categories. Any such attempt will result in disqualification.

Entry Fees:

Each submitted photo must be accompanied by a non-refundable entry fee payable via our secure payment center online. After you have registered and/or logged in, you will be prompted to enter your photos and to pay your entry fee at the 'For addition of a new photo you should pay USD$ 5.00' option at the Israel & Jewish Life Photo Contest International / Add / Edit your photos to which you will be taken after you clicked on the Add New Photo button. Please make sure that you finish the payment provess and submit your photos before you leave. Photos not accompanied by the entry fees will not be accepted.

How to Apply

You may submit up to only 3 photographs in
each of the 10 categories. To submit your entries you must fill out the online entry form provided below, then
upload it along with your photographs. Only the first 20,000 photographs will
be accepted. Entrants will not be notified of receipt of their entries. Data
entry is accepted only from the TUV Productions web site. Submissions accepted only by email !

NOTE: All entries must be email-marked on
or before November 26, 2006.

Multiple photographs for one picture number may not be submitted. Panorama-format photographs will also be accepted provided that they meet
the mentioned below size requirements. Photographs not within these size limits
will be disqualified.

TUV Productions may ask winners to provide high-quality originals or data for
the production of "Israel & Jewish Life Photo Collection" or panels for exhibitions. Complimentary copies of the "Israel & Jewish Life Photo Collection" will be sent to the winners.

Judging Awards

If high resolution images are not available at time of judging the entries will be disqualified.
All entries will be judged by TUV Productions in conducting the contest.The
judge's decisions will be finalized, and the winners will be announced on the
TUV Productions' Jewish Life web site (http://www.tuvproductions.com/jewishlife.htm) by the end of December 2004. TUV Productions will not respond to any inquiries regarding the contest's results.

Disclaimers

Entrants are regarded as having agreed to the rules at the
time of entry. Any photograph or entrant found by TUV Productions to be in
violation of any of the rules is subject to disqualification.(Entrants will not
be notified if one or more of their submissions has been disqualified.) If it is
later found that the winning photograph violates the rules, TUV Productions
retains the right to cancel the award and request return of the prize. No
entries will be returned to entrants. Entrants will not be notified of receipt of
their entries. We will handle the electronic entries with great care; however, we are
not responsible for any damage or loss which may occur during emailing of your
photographs, or for data that is damaged or lost during uploading. Entrants
retain all copyright and equivalent rights of winning photographs. However, TUV Productions has the right to Notification of Winners. Winners will be notified individually via electronic mail (email) by TUV Productions by the middle of December, 2006. All winners will be required to complete, sign and return the sworn statement provided by TUV Productions within 14 days of notification. Failure to comply with this rule may result in disqualification.
Winning photos will be displayed in a special publication of TUV Productions named Jewish Life (http://www.tuvproductions.com/jewishlife.htm).

Prize Name and Number of Winners

Prizes:

Grand Prize One winner TUV Productions' Cash Prize equivalent to USD$1,000 and a publication of photo(s) on Jewish Life page. The prizes are subject to change without notification. (In the event that photographs are selected for use in other publications TUV Productions will enter into separate agreements with the entrants concerned. TUV Productions also has the permanent right to use prize-winning photographs for non-commercial purposes. TUV Productions will not be responsible for any claims or complaints from models used in winning
photographs should these photographs be published or exhibited. Entrants guarantee that they have the right to submit their entries and have obtained any necessary permissions. When a third party lodges a claim or complaint, all ensuing responsibilities, including any costs incurred, rest solely with the entrant. Entrants will be responsible for all entry-related costs such as duplication, enlargement and postage, if needed. Winners are responsible for any tax or other charge connected with the prize received. TUV Productions will not
respond to any claims or inquiries regarding the contest results. Names of winning entrants and their photos will bedisplayed on the TUV Productions' Jewish Life web site, and might appear in "Israel & Jewish Life Photo Collection", and may be used at exhibitions. If a conflict arises between an entrant and TUV Productions, the case falls under the jurisdiction of the Indianapolis District or Supreme Court and will be handled accordingly.
TUV Productions has the final say on any point not outlined in the entry rules.
If an entrant disagrees with a decision made by TUV Productions, he/she has the right to withdraw his/her entry. (Any expenses incurred to that point will be borne solelyby the entrant.)

Use of Personal Information General

When completing an entry form, you are requested to provide certain personal information.
This requested information is mandatory for entry, and we regret that TUV Productions cannot accept any entries where this information is not provided. All entries will be forwarded to TUV Productions head office at (4410 Clayburn Dr., Indianapolis, Indiana 46268 USA)
for judging. The following text explains the manner in which TUV Productions may use such personal information.

Purposes for which personal information will be used by TUV Productions and its subsidiaries and affiliates in the following ways: to notify winners, to provide entrants with contest-related information, to contact entrants regarding the use of their photographs, to announce the winners and their location, to announce the next contest, to provide other information such as information on new products, services and events from TUV Productions if requested by you on the entry form. Prize winner'(s)' names will also be announced on the TUV Productions' web site and may be used to identify the winning individuals in published reproductions of winning photographs.

Release of Personal Information to Third Parties

TUV Productions will reveal only your name, location (country only) and technical data regarding photo. No other information will be revealed.

Image'(s)' Size and Specifications

Only JPEG/JPG files can be accepted in PC format. The file name must have the appropriate type extension included. Large files will be resized (to conserve space on our server - and to allow fast downloading!)
Images are also resized for display purposes. For the sake of fairness the longest side of all images shown will be same (300 pixels).
Remember that, once on the web an image can be copied - another reason to only show low resolution files. All images on this site are the copyright of their respective owners.
Do not steal them unless you want a big legal bill! We have a scheme where selected images are avaiable free for use on websites.

  5. All entries must include: correct spelling of all names, including private names, photo subjects and photographer. Up to date address, contact phone numbers, including state code, area code on the electronic entry form below.
  6. Each entry must be accompanied by 1-3 brief paragraphs explaining the content/circumstances of the photograph.
  7. Do not mount entries, but send in appropriate stiff packaging. TUV Productionsis not responsible for lost or damaged entries.
  8. The title (below) must acompany each photo entry. Entries without titles or without paragraphs explaining photos will be disqualified.
