When I decided to purchase this chest, I had real reservations based on the fact that I never had one of these items before. Well, I got mine in the mail today and I LOVE IT! It's exactly what I expected. No, it's not solid oak with real brass and velvet...those chests cost hundreds of dollars, remember? But it's heavy, sturdy, NOT broken, bent, cracked, whatever else they said about it. It's real wood, and just perfect for my tools. I'm ordering the smaller model next. I got mine in the mail today too and it is woohoo! It's just as on the picture. No, it's not solid oak with real brass and velvet..., as I heard some said, we all know those chests cost big money. But it's heavy, sturdy, NOT broken, bent, cracked, -- all good and solid with pretty felt inside the drawers. It's real wood, and just perfect for my art and photo supplyes.
