Bridal Engagement Photography Session

Almost never a relationship of two people in love starts with their wedding. As you already know most people in the Western Hemisphere meet, date, fall in love, get engaged and only then, if they decide to do so they get married. An engagement photography session is aimed at capturing a couple prior to the marriage. Very often I am asked to photograph a couple in their dating environment and since many of the couple who are about to get married are very young, often the photographic session takes me to the locations that only 50 years ago people would call inappropriate for this kind of memorable keep-sake. Thus often I find myself driving to the bars and night clubs when it comes to photographing young couples. The engagement portraits and couple's photos that are featured here are some of the special moments captured in the locations described above. Nevertheless and still many other couples choose such locations as one of the mates' home or even more often the place where they first met. Whether it is a secluded place by the pond or a busy big city's street, farm or an island, my assistant(s) and I go there to capture last moments og the engaged singles before they get married. Many of these photographs are pre-wedding engagement portraits done for the bride and groom as part of one of our wedding packages. Engagement portraits and couple's photos sessions may be held in the couple's place of choice, or we can suggest locations that work well for the prebridal engagement photography session's portraiture and/or action images. Studio-style, in-home, or outdoor location photography sessions are available. Outdoor photos with natural, ambient lighting represent an often highly desired option for couple's portraits. Brides or couples are sometimes interested in engagement or pre-wedding photography done at their parents' homes too and include their parents, but more often than not, it is the couple itself that is the essence of the prebridal engagement photography. The approach, style, and purpose for a pre-wedding shoot varies greatly, based on clients' tastes and personalities. Some brides want a very formal photo session in their wedding gown. Others, prefer casual attire, something in blue-jeans, with a very relaxed look.
I encourage my clients to consider their personal interests, then we plan from there. Some desire photography with a theme for the photo session, props are always fun to play with, but many couple desire no artificial add-ons, but rather the atmosphere with the settings which are natural to them.
